UMMC Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

This project consists of the redesign of the current Pediatric Intensive Care Unit located on the second floor of the Blair E. Batson Hospital at the University of Mississippi Medical Center Campus. The program required creation of more private patient rooms and better amenities for family. McCarty provided full design services for the UMMC Batson Pediatric ICU renovation. The focus of the project was to upgrade the current services to keep up with healthcare trends and medical advances. Along with this goal, UMMC used a family-centered care model to create a more child-friendly environment. Completed 2009.
