University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast Research Lab at Thad Cochran Marine Aquaculture Center
McCarty Architects is working with USM Gulf Coast Research Laboratory and its partners at the Thad Cochran Marine Aquaculture Center to design a facility to house recirculating aquaculture systems for broodstock conditioning, spawning, incubation and larval rearing of molluscan shellfish with biosecurity zoning to protect algae production processes. The scope of the project also will include a microalgae culture system to include clean room, stock culture room, analytical lab, preparatory room, scale-up room and production room to accommodate photo-bioreactor and bag culture systems. Associated offices and other support spaces will also be included.
