Kurt Shettles first came to McCarty as an intern in the summer of 1994 while completing his degree in architecture at Mississippi State University. Two years later, he joined the firm full time. Kurt has remained with McCarty for the whole of his career, serving a range of clients and helping to lead the firm into new markets.

He and his wife Jane Clair have four children, two dogs and two cats. When not working, Kurt enjoys serving at his church, traveling, eating great food, exercising and watching his daughters play volleyball.
